Abstract

Dalam perencanaan konstruksi bangunan baja, profil baja yang digunakan untuk merancang balok dan kolom merupakan hal yang mutlak untuk diperhatikan. Karena kekuatan baja sangat menentukan layak atau tidaknya suatu struktur bangunan untuk menahan beban yang bekerja pada tiap bagian struktur bangunan. Kemudian sebagai penentu dari tingkat keamanan struktur ditentukan oleh desain rasio yang merupakan perbandingan dari nilai tahanan nominal struktur bangunan terhadap besarnya beban ultimate yang terjadi. Untuk menentukan besarnya rasio tersebut diperlukan beberapa metode yaitu ASD (Allowable Stress Design) dan LRFD (Load and Resistance Factor Design). Dari kedua metode tersebut dilakukan perbandingan desain rasio sesuai dengan profil baja dan jenis beban yang digunakan, dengan metode LRFD rata-rata mendominasi rasio yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan metode ASD dengan persentase nilai rasio maksimum sebesar 2,857%, tetapi pada beberapa bagian konstruksi metode ASD mempunyai rasio yang lebih besar dibandingkan metode LRFD dengan persentase nilai maksimum sebesar 4,878%. Berarti belum dapat dipastikan pada salah satu metode tersebut memiliki desain rasio yang lebih besar terhadap keseluruhan bagian struktur bangunan sebelum dilakukan perhitungan desain komponen struktur.
