Abstract

This research purposed to increase student speaking skills of Grade V at Elementary School 05 Indralaya with "debate" learning model. Subject in this research is Grade V.A student in Elementary School 05 Indralaya that amount 24 students, 11 boys and 13 girls. The implementation of the reseach in some steps are planning, action, observating, and reflection that done in 3 cycle. The technic of data calculatiob is observation and test . The result of student speaking test in cycle I, the number of student that reach KKM is 14 students or amount 58,3%. In cycle II, the number of student that reach KKM is 16 students or amount 75% and in cycle III is amount 21 students or 87,5%. From the research, it can conclude that "debate" learning model can increase s tudent speaking skill of Grade V in Elementary School 05 Indralaya that shown from the percentage of the completess of study result as KKM in Elementary School 05 Indralaya is 65.
