Abstract
Aggregate is an asphalt mixture material that becomes one of the main powerfactor in pavement. Therefore, a laboratoiy study of the characteristics of flexible pavement using aggregate river taken from Lahat, mountain rock taken from Bukit Munggu, Tanjung Enim and Coastal stones taken from Ketaping Beach, Bengkulu as a rough aggregate material, as well as the influence and Comparison of Marshall characteristics from the use of the aggregate to the asphalt mixture for the wear layer (AC-WC). While asphalt used is petroleum asphalt that is the residue from the distillation of petroleum or asphalt with penetration 60/70 pertamina. From the aggregate tesi results, the percentage of values that meet the specifications with the average weight test results> 2.5%, average absorption <3%, average abrasion <40%, and 95% atlachment to asphalt. For influence and comparison of marshall characteristic Asphalt Optimum content of river aggregate usage of 5.7%. The stabil ity value of the river aggregate mixture is 1420 kg. The Coastal aggregate mixture is a mixture that has less melting than the other two aggregates of 3.3 mm. While the mountain aggregate mixture is a betler quality pavement mixture between the three aggregate types tested. Because the aggregate of the mountain has an advantage on 4 parameter s Marshall Ouotient results of 373 kg/ mm, V1M of 4.11%, VMA of 16.70% and VF A of 75.1)7%. The stabil ity value of the mountain aggregate mixture is 1400 kg.
