Abstract

Adherence to blood tablet consumption among pregnant women is one of the efforts made to reduce anemia rates among pregnant women. The proportion of adherence to consumption of Blood Additive Tablets (TTD) in pregnant women is still uneven between regions in Indonesia and there is still a lack of research that discusses the adherence to consumption of Blood Additive Tablets (TTD) in pregnant women in the last decade. The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences in adherence to blood tablet consumption among pregnant women by region in Indonesia and the influencing factors. This study used secondary data from the 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas). The sample size in this study was 1,750. The dependent Variabele in this study was adherence to blood test consumption among pregnant women as measured by women who received and consumed at least 90 tablets during their pregnancy. Data were analyzed using Quantum GIS and biner logistik regression statistical test. The results showed that the proportion of respondents who were compliant with the consumption of Blood Additive Tablets (TTD) in Indonesia was 14.3%. The highest proportion of adherence to the consumption of Blood Additive Tablets (TTD) was in the Java-Bali region at 17.7% while the lowest was in the Sulawesi region at 4.0%. Pregnant women who live in the Java-Bali region have a higher chance of adherence to Blood Additive Tablets (TTD) compared to other regions. The results of bivariate analysis showed that the Variabeles of age, educational status, region of residence, frequency of ANC, distance to health facilities, parity, and gestational age had a significant relationship in certain regions. The results of multivariate analysis showed that the Variabeles of gestational age and ANC frequency were the most dominant factors influencing the compliance of pregnant women to consume TTD in certain regions. This study shows that there are differences in adherence to blood supplementary tablet consumption between regions in Indonesia. Organized policies are needed to reduce disparities in regions with low adherence to Blood Additive Tablets (TTD) consumption
