Abstract

Nutritional Care Process (NCP) for COVID-19 patients plays an important role in healing COVID-19. Providing proper nutritional care helps in boosting the patient's immune system so that a High Calorie High Protein Diet is given to COVID-19 patients. Research This study aims to determine the description of NCP in COVID-19 patients at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin, Siti Fatimah Hospital, and Charitas Hospital in Palembang City based on input, process, output indicators. This research is a qualitative research with a case study research design. There were 12 people from 3 hospitals consisting of 3 heads of nutrition installations, 3 secretaries of nutrition installations or equivalent, and 6 nutritionists in the COVID-19 room. The results of this research show that the input indicators related to human resources for flexible room nutritionists are adjusted to the room used. Policy in NCP for COVID-19 patients at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin and Charitas Hospital conducted online. At Siti Fatimah Hospital, NCP for COVID-19 patients are carried out offline. Sources of funds for nutrition care services in the three hospitals are different. The process indicators related to ADIME for COVID-19 patients in the three hospitals are the same, but the online or offline delivery mechanism is adjusted to the policies of each hospital. The three hospitals provide a diet for COVID patients, namely the High Calorie High Protein Diet diet for non-comorbid patients. The Output indicators related to the number of COVID-19 patients who were given NCP based on discharge status as well as constraints and obstacles at the time of providing needs, namely related to communication. The conclusion of this study shows that NCP in COVID-19 patients at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin, Siti Fatimah Hospital, and Charitas Hospital are basically the same but there are differences in several indicators due to the policies of each hospital. The suggestions for this research are that hospitals should improve communication equipment or WiFi signals so that communication between nutritionists and patients runs smoothly.
