Abstract

Introduction: is a state of progressive loss of kidney function that results in electrolyte fluids and metabolic waste cannot be removed automatically. Patients with CKD will experience disturbed sleep patterns due to uremic conditions, anxiety, and environmental factors. Non-pharmacological therapy that can be done to overcome sleep pattern disorders is by giving Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) therapy. The writing of this case study aims to apply nursing care to CKD patients and perform sleep and rest support with SEFT therapy to overcome sleep pattern disorders according to evidence based. Methods: This research uses descriptive case studies on three CKD patients who have problems with sleep patterns in the Inpatient Room of Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang and are given SEFT therapy interventions every day for 3 days. Results: The results of nursing care obtained 4 problems resolved and 2 problems partially resolved. After doing SEFT therapy for 10-20 minutes with flexible time every day for 3 days, it was found that the patient's sleep pattern disorder was resolved, characterized by the patient saying he could sleep and sleep quite satisfied and complaints of difficulty falling asleep and waking up frequently at night were reduced. Conclusion: Nursing care has been carried out for 3 days and SEFT therapy is effective for overcoming sleep pattern disturbances in CKD patients at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital.
