Abstract

Pricing strategy is very important for a business in determining prices with the aim of maximizing profits. This research aims to find out the pricing strategy for Betawi soto and determine the profit level of each Betawi soto producer. The analytical method used is descriptive qualitative with cross tabulation analysis. The data used in this research is primary data obtained through interviews and questionnaires at every soto Betawi seller in East Jakarta City in 2023. The results of this research show that the market price strategy is a strategy that is widely used, namely 32 percent of the total sample, after that's a mark-up of 28 percent, then a limit price strategy of 20 percent, a price leadership strategy of 12 percent and finally price discrimination of only 8 percent. The average profit is Rp. 16,843,600, 32 percent above the average profit and 68 percent below the average. Key words: Price Strategy, Profit Level, Soto Betawi
