Abstract

An accounting information system is an organizational element that collects, categorizes, categorizes and processes as well as analyzes financial data on sales and cash purchases. This will be related to decision making by company leaders. The number of companies that use manual systems in recording sales and purchase activities must be made aware that computer-assisted recording will make work efficient and effective. This research was conducted at Elvin Yulando Syaray's Laying Chicken Farm which still uses manual methods in recording reports. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, the data source used is the primary data source, the data collection technique of this research is observation, interviews and documentation, while the data analysis technique used is the SDLC (System Development life Cycle) method and the scope of this research is the accounting information system for laying hen farms owned by Elvin Yulando Syaray. The results of this study show that there is an overlap in the organizational structure of Elvin Yulando Syaray's laying hen farm, the buying and selling process is good but there are still obstacles in order accountability, because using manual recording often sales documents are lost and in the process of making reports takes a long time, Therefore, with this, recording using a new system, namely the design of accounting information on sales and cash purchases at the company, especially on Elvin Yulando Syaray's laying hen farm, needs to be done.
