Abstract

The rice processing and rice processing industries are part of the agribusiness subsystem which is engaged in processing grain into rice which can contribute to the supply of rice. The research aims to analyze the level of concentration and profits by calculating the Concentration Ratio CR4 companies and Price Cost Margin (PCM) through the simple Ordinary Least Square (OLS) regression method. The data used in this study is time series data from 2010-2020 published by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The research results show that the concentration of the rice processing and the rice processing industry (10631) is 20 percent, so this industry is included in the monopolistic market structure. The average profit level of the rice processing and rice processing industry during the observation was 18 percent. The linear regression results show that the level of concentration has a positive influence on the profits of the rice processing industries, which means that if profits increase 1 percent, the concentration variable will increase 98 percent, and conversely.
