Abstract
This study aims to find out the effect of gutter slope and nutrition on lettuce plant production in the NFT hydroponic system. The research has been carried out from June2023 to July 2023 at a Residence on Jl. Inspektur Marzuki, Siring Agung, Ilir Bar l, Palembang City, South Sumatra 30138. The research method used was Random Factorial Group Planning (RAKF) with two research factors, namely nutrition (A) as the main plot consisting of two treatments levels (A1 with AB MIX and A2 with rabbit urine POC), and gutter slope (B) consisting of three treatment levels (B1 with a gutter slope of 4%, B2 with gutter slope of 6%, and B3 with gutter slope of 8%), with each treat mentcombination repeated three times. The research parameters included flow rate, plant water requirements, plant height, leaf count, fresh weight, and plant productivity. The conclusion of this research indicated that the nutritional treatment significantly affects the growth of plants height, leaf count, fresh weight, and lettuce plant productivity. The growth of lettuce plants at an 8% gutter slope with AB MIX nutrition (A1B3) tended to be better than at 4% and 6% gutter slopes. The highest lettuce plant productivity was achieved at an 8% gutter slope with the AB MIX nutrition (A2B3), which was 0,205 kg/m2, while the lowest was at a 4% gutter slope with rabbit urine POC nutrient (A2B1), which was 0,0049 kg/m2.A suggestion that can be given for this research is to conduct further studies, taking into account the application of nutrients that match the plant's needs on a weekly basis to ensureoptimal plant growth.
