Abstract
Peat soil is the one of the problemetic lands that often occurs in Indonesia. Peat soil contains organis matter, high water content and low bearing capacity of soil and shear strength, so peat soil should be repaired before contruction is bulit above, one of the which is by reinforcement the DSM (Deep Soil Mixing). This research uses DSM (Deep Soil Mixing) columns were used with a mixture of clay and 6% rice husk ash by modeling 6 different variations including 3 columns of the same diameter 3,2 cm and different lengths 40 cm, 46 cm, 53 cm and 3 colums of the same strength 53 cm and different diameter 3,2 cm, 4,2 cm, 4,8 cm. This research was modeled in a test bath with dimensions of 100 cm x 100 cm x 140 cm. The result obtained from this research are the value of soil bearing capacity or Qult, BCR (Bearing Capacity Ratio) value obtained from the comparison of bearing capacity of the soil after and before giving reinforcement and the percentage increase in BCR (Bearing Capacity Ratio). The maximum value is obtained in column with a diameter of 4,8 cm and a length of 53 cm with Qu of 11,15 kPa, BCR value of 2,12 and percentage increase in BCR of 111,98 %. The minimum value is obtained in column with a diameter of 3,2 cm and a length of 53 cm with Qu of 7,14 kPa, BCR value of 1,357 and percentage increase in BCR of 35,74 %.
