Abstract

Landslide disasters can occur due to several factors, and based on BNPB InaRISK data, the Cileles area and its surroundings are included in the area with moderate vulnerability to landslides. This research uses direct field observation and remote sensing methods which use vegetation index parameters, soil wetness level, slope, research area elevation, and the constituent rocks’ lithology. The data was processed using the ArcGIS application and reclassified and overlaid to obtain a landslide susceptibility map. Based on the results, the NDVI parameters are divided into Dense, Medium Density, Not Dense, and Sparse classes. NDWI parameters are divided into No Water, Low Wetness, Medium Wetness and High Wetness classes. The slope parameters are divided into Flat, Gently Sloping, Moderately Steep, and Steep classes. Elevation parameters are divided into lowlands, low hills and hills. The relative relief parameters are divided into Very Low Relief, Low Relief, Medium Relief, High Relief and Very High Relief. Meanwhile, lithological parameters are divided into Coarse Sand and Medium Sand. The parameters are created in the form of a map which is then weighted and overlaid to obtain a Landslide Susceptibility Map in the research area, where the results obtained are a low level of vulnerability (1 – 1.3), a medium level of vulnerability (1.3 – 3), and a level of high vulnerability (>3). Field observations showed several landslide points in the research area close to public facilities, which could hinder residents' mobility. Laboratory analysis was also carried out using a direct shear test equipment and the data was processed using the Simplified Bishop method to obtain safety factor values. The safety factor obtained is 0.487 to 1.01 which is included in the unstable class. This research aims to determine the safety factors of a potential landslide in the research area. The research results are in the form of maps that can be used to increase the accuracy of slope stability analysis which can be helpful to Cileles area and its surroundings in land use planning.
