Abstract

PT Sumatera Prima Fibreboard is a private company engaged in the industry that produces MDF wood. PT SPF created a greening area in several locations in the factory environment as an effort to reduce air pollution, especially CO2 gas due to MDF production activities. Trees planted in greening areas have an important role to be able to clean the air and as a habitat for various other organisms so that trees become a parameter of biodiversity in an ecosystem that needs to know its vegetation. This study aims to determine the diversity of pole and tree species and determine the diameter of the trunk of stands in the PT SPF area. The method used is the Purposive Sampling method. Calculation of pole and tree vegetation analysis includes parameters such as density, dominance frequency, importance index and diversity index, and measurement of chest height stem diameter (dbh) is carried out with a height of 1.30 m and data is recorded using a tally sheet. There are 12 tree species from 9 families and a total of 251 individuals from the pole and tree growth levels contained in the research plot. The results of the vegetation analysis that dominated the INP value at the pole growth level were Swietenia mahagoni species of 155.50% and at the tree level Swietenia mahagoni species of 114.51%. In the pole phase has a low to medium diversity category with values of 0.82, 1.10 and 1.34 while in the pole phase has a medium diversity category with values of 1.23, 1.43 and 1.74. The highest stem diameter increase from 2010-2023 at station I is owned by Acacia mangium species at 21.96 cm. Station II is owned by Acacia mangium species of 41.96 cm. Station III is owned by Acacia crassicarpa species of 42.08 cm. PT. Sumatera Prima Fibreboard merupakan perusahaan swasta yang bergerak dalam bidang industri yang memproduksi kayu MDF. PT SPF membuat area penghijauan pada beberapa lokasi di lingkungan pabrik sebagai upaya mengurangi polusi udara terutama gas CO2 akibat aktivitas produksi MDF. Pohon yang ditanam pada area penghijauan memiliki peran penting untuk mampu membersihkan udara serta sebagai habitat dari berbagai organisme lainnya sehingga pohon menjadi parameter keanekaragaman hayati pada suatu ekosistem yang perlu diketahui vegetasinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman jenis tegakan tiang dan pohon serta mengetahui diameter batang tegakan pada kawasan PT. SPF. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode Purposive Sampling. Perhitungan Analisa vegetasi tiang dan pohon meliputi parameter yakni kerapatan, frekuensi dominansi, indeks nilai penting dan indeks keanekaragaman, dan pengukuran diameter batang setinggi dada (dbh) dilakukan dengan ketinggian 1,30 m dan data dicatat menggunakan tally sheet. Terdapat sebanyak 12 spesies pohon dari 9 famili dan jumlah individu 251 batang yang berasal dari tingkat pertumbuhan tiang dan pohon yang terdapat dalam plot penelitian. Hasil Analis vegetasi yang mendominasi nilai INP pada tingkat pertumbuhan tiang yakni Spesies Swietenia mahagoni sebesar 155,50% dan pada tingkat pohon yakni Spesies Swietenia mahagoni sebesar 114,51%. Pada fase tiang memiliki katagori keanekaragaman rendah ke sedang dengan nilai 0,82, 1,10 dan 1,34 sedangkan pada fase tiang memiliki katagori keanakaragaman sedang dengan nilai 1,23, 1,43 dan 1,74. Pertambahan diameter batang tertinggi dari tahun 2010-2023 pada stasiun I dimiliki oleh spesies Acacia mangium sebesar 21,96 cm. Stasiun II dimiliki oleh spesies Acacia mangium sebesar 41,96 cm. Stasiun III dimiliki oleh spesies Acacia crassicarpa sebesar 42,08 cm.
