Abstract

Sistem isolasi sangat diperlukan pada peralatan tegangan tinggi untuk membatasi bagian-bagian yang bertegangan agar tidak terjadi hubungan singkat satu dengan yang lain sehingga tidak terjadi kegagalan isolasi. Kegagalan isolasi pada peralatan tegangan tinggi dapat terjadi pada saat peralatan sedang beroperasi yang bisa menyebabkan kerusakan alat sehingga kontinuitas sistem menjadi terganggu. Bushing mempunyai beberapa bahan dielektrik padat dengan beberapa lapisan logam dan porcelain dengan nilai permitivitas yang berbeda. Karakteristik medan disekitar bushing dipengaruhi media tersebut yang membuat distribusi medan listrik disekitar bahan dielektrik bervariasi, sesuai dengan besar nilai permitivitas sebuah bahan penyusun bushing. Semakin besar nilai permitivitas sebuah media maka medan listrik yang dihasilkan akan semakin kecil sedangkan semakin kecil nilai permitivitas sebuah media maka medan listrik yang dihasilkan akan semakin membesar.
