Abstract

Coal production at PT Bukit Bara Alam has not reached the set production target. The coal production target at PT Bukit Bara Alam in January was 65,000 tons, while actual production was 56,570 tons. The failure to achieve coal production targets is caused by many factors, both unavoidable and avoidable factors. The purpose of this research is to analyze the factors that cause non-achievement and the efforts made to achieve the production targets set by PT. Bukit Bara Alam. Based on calculations, the production capacity for loading and digging equipment is 79,596.87 tons and for transportation equipment it is 48,117.19 tons. This means that coal production in February 2023 has not yet reached the production target, namely at 79%. Based on observations, the factors and constraints that influence coal production are road geometry, transport equipment cycle time, and work efficiency. It is known that there are 12 points on 6 road segments that do not meet standards. This affects the high cycle time of transportation equipment. Apart from that, it is also known that work efficiency in February was only 42%. After improvements in road geometry, transport equipment cycle time, and work efficiency, equipment production capabilities have increased. Based on calculations, the production capacity for loading and digging equipment is 101,748.65 tons and for transportation equipment it is 63,676.67 tons, so that the production target has been achieved with a production achievement of 104%.
