Abstract

South Sumatra's peat ecosystems are spread over seven regencies, but almost half of them are located in the Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) Regency, one of which is in the Perigi Village area, Pangkalan Lampam District, OKI Regency, South Sumatra and the type of peat is swamp. One of the organisms that live in peat swamps is fish. Fish is one of the organisms that live in waters and are directly or indirectly affected by environmental changes and human activities. The peat swamp area of Perigi Village, OKI, South Sumatra allows various types of fish to live and breed, but research on fish species in the Peat swamp area of Perigi Village has never been reported, so it is necessary to make an inventory of the types of fish are found in the peat swamp area in perigi village. During the study, 5 orders, 8 families, 10 genuses, and 11 fish species were found and 61 individuals which belong to black fish.
