Abstract

Rubber is a very important plantation commodity in Indonesia. Liquid organic fertilizer (POC) is a type of fertilizer in the form of a solution obtained from the decomposition of organic matter. This liquid organic fertilizer contains important elements that plants use to grow and can increase crop production. This study aims to see the effect of liquid fertilizer from agricultural waste as a comparison on latex production in rubber plants. This research was conducted in Payaraman Timur, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra from August to November 2022. The design used in this study was the Split Plot Design. using dose levels of 4% and 5% (40 ml and 50 ml) with 5 treatment levels POC 1. pineapple skin and watermelon skin, 2. POC watermelon skin, 3. POC pineapple skin, 4. POC orange peel and its contents, 5. and POC cabbage and mustard greens. The treatment was repeated 3 times to obtain 30 combination units on rubber plants aged 12 years and clones. The results showed that liquid organic fertilizer (POC) pineapple peel + watermelon rind had a significant effect on the production of rubber plants. Liquid Organic Fertilizer treatment D1P1 (pineapple peel + watermelon rind and dose of 40 ml/l) is the treatment with the highest rubber latex production every week with a total production of 240.00 grams while Liquid Organic Fertilizer treatment D2P1 (pineapple peel + watermelon peel and a dose of 50 ml/l) is the treatment with the highest rubber latex production every week with a total production of 262.00 grams
