Abstract

Latar belakang: Tingginya masalah kesehatan gigi dan mulut anak di Indonesia dikarenakan banyak anak yang cemas untuk dirawat. Prevalensi kecemasan anak terhadap perawatan gigi mencapai 22%, anak yang mengalami kecemasan dental akan menjadi pasien yang tidak kooperatif. Hal ini dapat memengaruhi tingkat stres dokter gigi muda pada perawatan gigi anak yang tidak kooperatif. Stres berat yang dialami oleh dokter gigi muda akibat pekerjaan yang berlanjut berisiko pada kesehatan fisik dan mental sehingga kesehatan memburuk. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat stres dokter gigi muda pada perawatan gigi anak yang tidak kooperatif. Metode: Penelitian ini berupa deskriptif observasional dengan desain cross-sectional yang melibatkan 82 dokter gigi muda di RSKGM dan dipilih melalui metode purposive sampling. Dianalisis secara univariat dan disajikan dalam bentuk tabel. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat stres menunjukkan sampel yang mengalami tingkat stres kategori normal sebesar 17,1%, kategori stres ringan sebesar 14,6%, kategori stres sedang sebesar 32,9%, kategori stres berat sebesar 28,0% dan kategori stres sangat berat sebesar 7,3%. Kesimpulan: Tingkat stres dokter gigi muda pada perawatan gigi anak yang tidak kooperatif adalah tingkat stres sedang dan berat. Background: The high prevalence of children's dental and oral health issues in Indonesia was attributed to the fact that many children feel anxious about receiving dental care. The prevalence of children's anxiety related to dental treatment reaches 22%. Children who experience dental anxiety tend to become uncooperative patients. This can impact the stress levels of young dentists when they are treating uncooperative children's teeth. The severe stress experienced by dental co-assistant due to continuous work poses risks to their physical and mental health, leading to a deterioration in their health. Objective: This research aims to determine the level of stress among dental co-assistant when treating uncooperative children's dental care. Method: This research was a descriptive observational study with a cross-sectional design. Involving 82 dental co-assistant from RSKGM who were selected using the purposive sampling method. Analyzed univariately and presented in tabular form. Result: The research results on stress levels show that the samples experiencing normal stress levels are 17.1%, mild stress category is 14.6%, moderate stress category is 32.9%, severe stress category is 28.0%, and very severe stress category is 7.3%. Conclusion: The stress level of dental co-assistant during the treatment of uncooperative children is moderate and heavy.
