Abstract

Evaluation of the Fermentation Silage Quality Powder Grated Palm Oil Fronds and Rice Bran Supplemented Vitamin B Complex 2% and Minerals Mix 2% by In Vitro (Supervised by Armina Fariani) This research was to determine the fermentation quality of palm frond powder and rice bran which are supplemented with 2% vitamin B complex and 2% mineral mix infusion in vitro . This research was conducted from August to September 2022 at the Animal Feed Nutrition Laboratory, Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. This research was conducted using the Complete Equipment Design (CRD) method consisting of 3 treatments and 3 replications including silage of palm fronds and rice bran powder as (P0), silage of palm fronds and rice bran powder supplemented with 2% vitamin B complex (P1) , silage of palm frond powder and rice bran supplemented with 2% mineral mix (P2). Parameters observed were pH , Volatille Fatty Acid (VFA) and NH 3 which were analyzed using SPSS software and Duncan's test. The results of this study indicate that silage of palm frond powder supplemented with 2% vitamin B complex and 2% mineral mix could increase the total VFA concentration from P0 (8.40 mM) to P1 (23.38 mM) while in the concentration values of pH and NH 3 was not significantly different. Evaluasi Kualitas Silase Serbuk Pelepah Sawit dan Dedak Padi yang Disuplementasi Vitamin B Kompleks dan Mineral Mix Secara In Vitro (Dibimbing Oleh Armina Fariani) Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas fermentasi dari serbuk pelepah sawit dan dedak padi yang disuplementasi vitamin B kompleks 2% dan mineral mix 2 % secara in vitro. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus sampai dengan September 2022 di Laboratorium Nutrisi Pakan Ternak Program Studi Peternakan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Rancangan Alat Lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari 3 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan meliputi silase serbuk pelepah sawit dan dedak padi sebagai (P0), silase serbuk pelepah sawit dan dedak padi yang di suplementasi vitamin B kompleks 2% (P1), silase serbuk pelepah sawit dan dedak padi yang disuplementasi mineral mix 2% (P2). Parameter yang diamati yaitu pH, Volatille Fatty Acid (VFA) dan NH3 yang dianalisis dengan soffware SPSS dan Uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa silase serbuk pelepah sawit yang disuplementasi vitamin B kompleks 2% dan mineral mix 2% dapat meningkatkan kosentrasi VFA total dari P0 (8,40 mM) menjadi P1 (23,38 mM) sedangkan dalam nilai kosentrasi pH dan NH3 tidak berbeda nyata.
