Abstract

PUTRI INDAH SARI. Produksi Hijauan Pada Pastura Alami di Kecamatan Pampangan Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir. (Dibimbing oleh MUHAKKA). Padang penggembalaan di Kecamatan Pampangan memiliki lahan penggembalaan yang cukup luas dengan potensi hijauan yang melimpah dan produktivitas ternak yang baik. Kondisi inilah yang sangat potensial untuk pengembangan usaha peternakan. Maka dari itu, perlu dilakukannya pengkajian Produksi hijaun pada pastura alami di Kecamatan Pampangan Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir.Penelitian ini di laksanakan pada bulan September-Desember tahun 2022 di areal padang penggembalaan alami di Kecamatan Pampangan Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir Provinsi Sumatera Selatan dan Laboraturium Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak Program Studi Peternakan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya.Pengukuran produksi hijauan dilakukan dengan metode sistematik yaitu pengambilan sampel menggunakan kuadaran ukuran 1 m2 secara acak. Titik lokasi pengambilan sampel dibagi menjadi tiga zona yaitu zona A( Desa Pampangan), zona B (Desa Bangsal), Zona C ( Desa Menggeris).Parameter yang diamati adalah vegetasi hijauan, produksi hijauan dan kapasitas tampung padang penggembalaan. Hasil menunjukan bahwa vegetasi hijauan di areal padang penggembalaan ternak kerbau di Kecamatan Pampangan ditemukan 13 jenis vegetasi hijauan rawa lebak yaitu rumput Kumpai minyak (Hymenache ampexicaulis),Rumput Peking (Agrostis stolonifera), Suket reketek (Brachiaria eruciformis), Kumpai padi (Oryza rupifogon), Brabahan (Brachiaria reptans L), Kehkehan Lembut (Limnophila erecta), Purun tikus (Eleocharis duclis), Kiambang (Salvinia molesta), Telepuk padi (Nymphaea adorata), Enceng Gondok (Eichhornia crassipes), Selokan rapuh (Scirpus schoenoides retz), Alga Coklat (Agrostis stolonifera),Sunduk welut (Fimbristylis miliacea L).Produksi segar hijauan sebesar 10080 g/m2 atau 1,8 kg/m2 . Rata-rata produksi hijauan berdasarkan jumlah muncul pada petak cuplikan sebesar 0.08 kg/m2 atau 0,8 ton/ha dalam satu kali panen .Kapasitas tampung di Areal padang penggembalaan alami Kecamatan Pampangan Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir adalah sebesar 2,18 ST.ha-1 .tahun-1. Kata Kunci : Kerbau, Produksi Hijauan, Padang Penggembalaan, Vegetasi Hijauan dan Kapasitas Tampung Putri Indah Sari. Forage Production in Natural Pastura in Pampangan District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. (Guided by MUHAKKA). The pastures in Pampangan sub-district are quite extensive with potentially extensive forage for animal feed and high productivity of their animals. This condition has shown great potential for livestock business development. Therefore, a study on the production of forage for livestock on natural pastures in Pampangan Subdistrict, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency is required. The research was conducted in the Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. Forage production was measured using the systematic method, which is random sampling using a 1 m2 quadrant instrument. The sampling location was divided into three zones, namely zone A (Pampangan) zone B (Bangsal) zone C (Menggeris). Parameters observed were forage vegetation, forage production and pasture capacity. The results showed that there are thirteen types of forage vegetation in buffalo pastures in Pampangan Subdistrict, which include Kumpai minyak (Hymenache ampexicaulis),Rumput Peking (Agrostis stolonifera), Suket reketek (Brachiaria eruciformis), Kumpai padi (Oryza rupifogon), Brabahan (Brachiaria reptans L), Kehkehan Lembut (Limnophila erecta), Purun tikus (Eleocharis duclis), Kiambang (Salvinia molesta), Telepuk padi (Nymphaea adorata), Enceng Gondok (Eichhornia crassipes), Selokan rapuh (Scirpus schoenoides retz), Alga Coklat (Agrostis stolonifera),Sunduk welut (Fimbristylis miliacea L) . The fresh forage production is known to be 10080 g/m2 or 1.8 kg/m2 . while the average forage production based on the amount that appears in the sample plots is 0.08 kg/m2 or 0.8 tons/ha in one harvest. The annual carrying capacity of the natural pasture in Pampangan Sub-district, Ogan Komering Regency is 2.18 ST/ha. Keywords : Bufallo, Forage Production, Grazing, Forage Vegetation and Capacity
