Abstract

The cultural diversity in Jambi, which has not been widely promoted and developed, can become an economic opportunity in the city of Jambi, especially in the creative industry and community empowerment (UMKM) sectors. The creative industry itself is an industry that originates from an industry that originates from the use of individual creativity, skills and talents to create prosperity and employment opportunities by generating and empowering the individual's creativity and inventiveness. One of the strategic issues facing the city of Jambi is the issue of development which tends to be slow in the infrastructure and social and cultural sectors. The main plan (vision) is to make the city of Jambi an independent city (city branding) and a center for trade and services with a good main economic structure. supported by quality, moral and cultured human resources who prioritize excellent service with sustainable principles, and make Jambi a metropolis. According to the chairman of the Jambi City Enkraft Committee, the Jambi City Government has been asked to pay more attention to 14 other creative economic sectors out of the 17 creative economic sectors in Indonesia, not all creative economic sectors have been developed by the government, only 3 creative economic sectors, namely culinary, arts and crafts and fashion. Because of these problems and issues, it is necessary to design and plan a building for the "Creative Industry Center and Workshop in Jambi City". This creative industry center will accommodate various activities such as the main function, namely a place for marketing & promotion of the creative industry. As well as as a forum for empowerment and education in the creative industry.
