Abstract
According to the 2018 Corruption Perception Index, the score obtained by Indonesia is 38 and places Indonesia as a country with a high level of corruption. Therefore, Indonesia ratified the Anti Corruption Convention to facilitate Indonesia in eradicating corruption. The problem that arises is how the implications of the Anti Corruption Convention on efforts to eradicate corruption in Indonesia and what obstacles are faced by the Indonesian government in implementing the Anti Corruption Convention in Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to find out the implications of the Anti-Corruption Convention in Indonesia on efforts to eradicate corruption in Indonesia and the obstacles faced by the Indonesian government in implementing the Anti-Corruption Convention in Indonesia. This research is a normative research that is analytical descriptive with statutory approach and using secondary data sources obtained from primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. Data collection research is carried out by literature study. From this research, it can be concluded that the implication of the ratification of the Anti Corruption. Conventio is that the State is obliged to adjust the provisions contained in the convention into its national law and to conduct international cooperation related to corruption. There are no rules that specifically regulate international cooperation regarding the return of assets resulting from corruption can be an obstacle to the implementation of this convention in effort to eradicate corruption in Indonesia. Therefore, it is suggested that it is necessary to review national laws related to corruption and adapt them to anti-corruption conventions and need to be made rules that specifically regulate the return of corruption assets so that it makes it easier for Indonesia to carry out international cooperation related to corruption.
