Abstract

The purposes of this research are (1) to analyzing the productivity of labor and productivity of smallholders farmers after the declining productivity of oil palm crops. (2) to analyze the allocation of family labor of farmers available for oil palm plantation and non palm oil plantation business activities.(3) to analyzing the factors affecting the allocation of oil palm plantation workers. This research will be conducted in Sumber Rejeki Village, Sungai Lilin District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. Data retrieval was conducted in March 2018. The method used in this researced is survey method, the source of data or from primary and secondary data. The sampling method used in this research was simple random sampling. Total population of plasm farmers farm oil were 517 families with 30 families samples. The result of this research were productivity of oil palm farming after productive decline of oil palm plantation 10,058 / kg / ha / year and at age of productive plant (Iqbal, 2018) yielded 16,528,45 / kg / ha / year. While the productivity of labor produced is equal to 1,800,37 / kg / hok / yr. The allocation of labor time of oil palm smallholder farmers to use 28.00 HOK per year of total working time of oil palm farming. For non-oil palm business time allocation, 239.77 HOK per year, this is because work outside the palm oil business can be done every day and time that is used from morning to night. Factors that significantly influence the allocation of labor time of oil palm farmers are influenced by income and age variables, while family member variable and nonfarm production cost is significant in labor time allocation.
