Abstract

This research entitled "The Effectiveness of Motor Vehicle Tax Collection in Joint Office of One Stop Roof Administration System (SAMSAT) of Muara Enim City". The purpose of this study is to determine the level of effectiveness in the collection of motor vehicle tax at the office with the One Stop Roof Administration System (SAMSAT) Muara Enim City. The type of research in this thesis is descriptive research using qualitative research methods. The type of data in this research is done through observation, interview and documentation. This research uses system approach theory proposed by Stephen P. Robbins consisting of three dimensions that are input, process and output. Based on the results of the study can be seen that the effectiveness of motor vehicle tax collection in the office of SAMSAT Muara Enim City, in terms of the flow of tax collection is good enough, from tax collection systematics that already meet the procedure of tax collection of motor vehicles. Furthermore, the process is long and sometimes takes a long time, but goes well until the final stage of motor vehicle tax collection. The services of the Muara City SAMSAT office are firm, friendly and have provided good service. The conclusion of this research is that the taxation of motor vehicle in the office with the One Stop Roof Administration System (SAMSAT) of Muara Enim City is quite effective. Suggestions from researchers is to further facilitate the public in paying taxes, should be carried out the socialization of all associated with the collection of motor vehicle tax itself. Then, the increase of service stage in the field of motor vehicle tax collection, the process of payment that does not take a long time and is not difficult to be understood by the community as a taxpayer is an important supporting factor for SAMSAT Office of Muara Enim City, in order to become a better place for community service again later.
