Abstract

This study is entitled the role of public relations in the use of cyber public relations to build the image of the representatives badan kependudukan dan keluarga berencana nasional(BKKBN) representative or national population and family planning board of sounth sumatera provice . this study aims to determine the role of public relations in the use of internet as media for public relations activities to build images. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques which used are throught indepth interviewa , observation , documentation, and literature study , as well as data analysis techniques, namely qualitative analysis. The problem of this research is how to use cyber public relations as media in public relations activities. this research explores information from informants with purposive techniques. The results of this study show representatives of the national population and family planning board of south sumatera province , namely by using their own network managed by the central BKKBN, namely www.bkkbn.go.id, conducting regular meetings regularly, exchanging information and disseminating information about BKKBN programs and activities through websites and social media or jumping in directly such as socialization. The recommendation this study is that the public relation of nationall population and family planning board representative of south sumatera province should continue to actively engage in interaction with various parties , especially the community and increase press releases and news about programs so that people can better know and participate in the public relation program of the national population and family planning board representative of south sumatera provice
