Abstract
PT Muara Alam Sejahtera is one of the national private companies engaged in mining. In January to September 2018 in the Alam Pit 4 production targets have not been achieved because the productivity of coal hauling equipment has not been optimal. The coal haul road from the mining front to the stockpile is an 1850 meter long two-lane road. The width of the coal haul road from the mining front leads to the stockpile in an average straight condition of 8.3 meters, while at the 8.5 meter bend. Based on calculations, the minimum road width for dumptruck transport in straight conditions is 8.8 meters and the width in bend conditions is 11 meters. The coal haul road still does not have a standard cross slope because the height difference between the middle part of the road and the side of the road is relatively flat. The actual slope (grade) on each segment is 10%. The maximum grade of PT Muara Alam Sejahtera is ≤ 12%. To produce a standard superelevation on each bend, a height difference between the left and right sides of the road must be made according to the standard road width on the bend. The productivity of actual coal dump trucks in the field in October 2018 from the mining front to the stockpile was 62,402 tons. The productivity of dump trucks can be improved by repairing haul roads so that the transport value of theoretical productivity in October will increase to 76,906 tons.
