Abstract

The aims of this research is to produce the learning media as multimedia for electrolyte and non electrolyte solutions lesson in Senior High School Grade X. The multimedia of electrolyte and non electrolyte solutions material has been developed and tested in SMA Negeri 1 Inderalaya. This development was done by Alessi and Trollip model with formative evaluation. The multimedia was tested by the experts of material, pedagogic, and design. The validity of material has a mean score of 0.78 with high validity category, the pedagogical validity has a score average of 0.82 with high validity category, and design validity has a mean score of 0.88 with high validity category. Multimedia practicality was seen from the mean of questionnaires in the group test stage. The average score of practicability is 0.88 with high practicality category. The effectiveness of this multimedia is shown from the learning outcomes done in the field test stage. Based on field test results, the obtained N-gain is 0.61 with medium category of effectiveness. This suggests that multimedia has met the valid, practical, and effective criteria to be used in electrolyte and non electrolyte solutions learning.
