Abstract

An inverter is an electronic device used to convert DC current into AC current. Inverters have various types according to the type of phase, control wave and generating capacity. Inverters play a very important role as the main supporting component in solar power plants, therefore selecting a good inverter is one of the main points in building this plant. In this plant there are 8 inverters which are used to convert 250 KW of power each. The observation method used in this research is collecting data at the Jakabaring 2 MW Solar Power Plant in the form of data on current, voltage, power entering the inverter and power that has been converted by the inverter. So the data received will be processed to obtain efficiency from the inverter. The results of this research are that the overall efficiency of the JH-250KE Solar Inverter at PLTS 2MW Jakabaring is still in the inverter category that is suitable for use with an average efficiency ranging from 95 - 98% during 5 years of operation. However, inverters 1 and 6 will experience a decrease of around 0.20% in 2022, which means that the performance of these inverters in the following year will certainly decrease even more. Keywords: Solar Power Plant, Solar Inverter, Efficiency.
