Abstract

Introduction: Pelvic organ prolapse is a complex disorder involving decreased function of the vaginal, urethral, bladder and anorectal support tissues. Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms related to pelvic organ prolapse are patients with anterior compartment, pelvic organ prolapse may complain of urinary incontinence (which is in 52% of pelvic prolapse cases) in the form of urine discharge especially when coughing, laughing, or jumping, then patients with urgency, incomplete micturition, recurrent urinary tract infections, and difficulty starting micturition. The general purpose of this study was to evaluate lower urinary tract symptoms 3 months after pelvic prolapse surgery in RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. Method: This study is an observational analytical study with a cross sectional design. The sample was taken using secondary data from the patient's medical record and taken by total sampling technique that is all samples obtained and meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria were included in the study. Results: POP patients who did surgery at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin and had lower urinary tract symptoms (42%), experienced postoperative improvement (76.2%). There was a significant relationship between storage symptoms, emptying symptoms, and postcontraction symptoms with urinary disorders (p<0.05), and there was an insignificant relationship between age, parity, BMI, and occupation (p>0.05). Conclusion: The evaluation of urinary tract symptoms 3 months after surgery found the highest occurrence with improvement. There is a significant relationship between symptoms of urinary disorders and the incidence of urinary disorders, but there is no significant relationship between age, parity, BMI, and occupation with the incidence of urinary disorders.
