Abstract

Research shows that students who engage in academic procrastination often underestimate the time available for completing assignments, which ultimately causes problems for themselves. This research aims to determine the relationship between Time Management and Academic Procrastination in Guidance and Counseling Students at FKIP Sriwijaya University. The population in this study was Guidance and Counseling Students at FKIP Sriwijaya University, totaling 278 students and a sample of 74 students with a sampling technique using Proportional Stratified Random Sampling. In this research, the type of research is quantitative with correlational research methods. Data collection using the time management scale and academic procrastination scale was obtained through distributing instruments via Google forms. Data analysis used the Person Product Moment method with the help of the SPSS version 29 application. The results of the correlation coef icient rxy = 0.909 and p = 0.228 (p<0.05) means that there is a positive relationship between Time Management and Academic Procrastination in Students of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program at FKIP University Srivijaya. The meaning of this positive relationship is that as time management improves, academic procrastination also increases.
