Abstract

The culture in South Sumatra is diverse which makes people have diverse traditions and cultures such as in the city of Prabumulih which has a tradition of balek andon prostration during circumcision, using a qualitative approach method and using a literature study, which will discuss the meaning of circumcision, the history of the location of the balek andon prostration tradition, the meaning of the balek andon prostration tradition, the implementation of the balek andon prostration tradition, the purpose of this study is to find out the balek andon prostration tradition and ensure that the balek andon prostration tradition is still preserved by the Prabumulih community.
