Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) is still a major public health problem in all countries, both in developed and developing countries. factors that encourage the occurrence of pulmonary TB, including the physical environment of the house which includes Ventilation, humidity. Floor type, lighting and residential density.The research aims to analyze the relationship Between physical environmental factors at home and the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis in the lesung batu empat lawang community health center work area in 2023. The study used in this research was a case-control with 30 cases and 30 controls. The analysis was carried out in stages, namely univariate analysis and continued with bivariate analysis for the chi-square test.The results show a significant relationship between lighting (p-value=0.000 OR=9.036;95%) Ventilation (p-value=0.038 OR=3.000;95%) floor type (p-value= 0.000 OR=7.667;95%), residential density (p-value=0.020 OR=3.500;95%) and humidity (p-value=0.001 OR=3.500;95%) with the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis in the lesung batu community health center working area. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between lighting, ventilation, residential density floor type and humidity.With the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis in the work area of the lesung batu community health center, lintang kanan empat lawang district.
