Abstract

The Role of Public Relations Secretariat of Palembang City's Government to maintain Adipura Kirana 's Trophy Award 2017. The Major of Communication's research of Social and Politic Science Faculty at Sriwijaya University. This research is about to understand how Public Relation's role handling and controlling the Government of the Palembang City. The method of this recearch is descriptive qualitative with the type of descriptive research. The Data obtained from primary data through deep interview with the Head of Public Relations and Public Relations Secretariat's Sub Head of Palembang City's Government. Based on the analysis results, it can be concluded that Public Relations Secretariat's Role of Palembang City's Government which was forwarded by Dozier and Broom with more dominant worked by two Public Relations of Palembang City's Government those are communication facilitator and as communication technician were they always delivering news to the printed media, pay them in order to publish the adventorial or news which Public Relations has sent to the printed media, futhermore, Palembang Government's Public Relations also placed some banners on the roads to invite the society about taking care of the environment, beside that the Public Relations of Palembang City's Government always documenting every single of Mayor Work in order to update for social media so there will be always information for the society.
