Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi dapat dirasakan hampir di setiap aspek kehidupan sehari-hari, termasuk juga pada bidang pertanian. Selama ini kondisi perkebunan hanya dipantau secara manual kini dapat dipantau otomatis, sehingga dapat mempermudah dalam pemantauan kondisi kebun. Projek ini mengusulkan suatu sistem pemantauan kondisi kebun dengan menerapkan protokol komunikasi MQTT berbasis smart farming. Message Queue Telemetry Transport (MQTT) adalah protokol konektivitas machine-to-machine yang dirancang sebagai pengiriman pesan dan menyediakan arsitektur publish/subscribe. Pada penelitian ini, MQTT di implementasikan dengan menggunakan mosquitto broker yang berfungsi untuk mengatur pengiriman pesan antar Publisher dan Subscriber. Dengan skema pertambahan jumlah publisher (1 hinga 4 publisher) pada setiap pengujiannya, protokol MQTT memiliki rata-rata throughput terbesar pada saat kondisi 4 publisher yaitu 13093,5070 bps dan terkecil pada kondisi 1 publisher 4281,7529 bps, rata-rata packet delivery ratio terbesar pada kondisi 4 publisher yaitu 99,8328 % dan terkecil saat 1 publisher yaitu 99,5615%, rata-rata packet loss terbesar pada saat kondisi 1 publisher yaitu 0,4385% dan terkecil saat 4 publisher yaitu 0,1672 %, serta rata-rata delay terbesar saat kondisi 1 publisher yaitu 161,5244 ms dan terkecil saat 4 publisher yaitu 59,0415 ms. Dari hasil pengujian parameter Quality of Service yang didapat, kinerja protokol MQTT pada monitoring termasuk dalam kategori QoS yang sangat bagus.
