Abstract
The grounding system is one of the systems that protects humans and electrical equipment by conducting excess current to the ground, therefore the quality of the grounding system depends on the resistance of the soil. In this study, efforts were made to reduce soil resistance by using additives in the form of gypsum and coconut shell charcoal, using the 3-point method. In this research, the moisture value is inversely proportional to the resistance value. By mixing the additives, the resistance value is obtained lower than without mixing, mixing lowers the resistance to 59.8% at electrode 4, 50.8% at electrode 5, 30,4% at electrode 6 so that mixing is considered effective in reducing resistance and also maintaining it.
