Abstract

House flies (Musca domestica) can be said to be vector animals that can spread disease and harm humans. Lime leaves are known to contain many secondary metabolite compounds including flavonoids, steroids, alkaloids, tannins, cardiac glycosides and limonoid compounds which can be used as bioinsecticides. This study aims to see the number of houseflies that died as a result of administering lime leaf extract and fraction bioinsecticides with different concentration treatments, changes in housefly morphology before and after being given lime leaf extract and fractions and the LC50 value of lime leaf extract and fraction bioinsecticides on death of houseflies within 24 hours. This research was carried out from March to August 2023. This research was carried out at the Biotechnology and Genetics Laboratory and the Animal Biosystematics Laboratory, Biology Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Sriwijaya University. This research used a completely randomized design (CRD), with 5 treatments and 5 replications. The research data that has been explained uses the ANOVA test. If the results show that there is a real effect or the calculated F is greater than the F table, then the test is continued with the Duncan Test. The results of this research were that a concentration of 1% n-hexane fraction of lime leaves was able to kill houseflies with a mortality of 92%.There was a change in house fly morphology as indicated by damage to torn wings and stiff legs after application of lime leaf extract and fractions. The LC50 value of lime leaf extract is 0.557% and in the N-hexane fraction the LC50 value is 0.545%, meaning that the LC50 value can kill 50% of the total house flies. Keyword : House flies, Bioinsecticide, Lime Leaves, Extract, N-Hexane Fraction Lalat rumah (Musca domestica) dapat dikatakan sebagai hewan vektor yang dapat menyebarkan penyakit dan merugikan manusia. Daun jeruk nipis diketahui mengandung banyak senyawa metabolit sekunder diantaranya flavonoid, steroid, alkaloid, tanin, cardiac glikosida, dan senyawa limonoid yang mampu dijadikan bioinsektisida. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat jumlah lalat rumah yang mati akibat dari pemberian bioinsektisida ekstrak dan fraksi daun jeruk nipis dengan perlakuan konsentrasi yang berbeda, perubahan morfologi lalat rumah sebelum dan sesudah diberikan ekstrak dan fraksi daun jeruk nipis dan nilai LC50 bioinsektisida ekstrak dan fraksi daun jeruk nipis terhadap kematian lalat rumah selama 24 jam. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan mulai bulan Maret sampai dengan Agustus tahun 2023. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Bioteknologi dan Genetika dan Laboratorium Biosistematika Hewan, Jurusan Biologi, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Sriwijaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak lengkap (RAL), dengan 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Data hasil penelitian yang telah diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan Uji ANOVA. Jika pada hasil menunjukkan adanya pengaruh nyata atau F hitung lebih besar dari F tabel, maka pengujian dilanjutkan dengan Uji Duncan. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu dengan konsentrasi 1% fraksi n-heksan daun jeruk nipis mampu membunuh lalat rumah dengan mortalitas sebesar 92%. Terjadi perubahan morfologi lalat rumah yang ditunjukkan dengan kerusakan pada sayap yang sobek, dan kakinya yang kaku setelah diaplikasikan ekstrak dan fraksi daun jeruk nipis. Nilai LC50 dari ekstrak daun jeruk nipis adalah 0.557% dan pada fraksi N-heksan didapatkan nilai LC50 sebesar 0.545% artinya nilai LC50 tersebut sudah dapat membunuh 50% dari total lalat rumah.
