Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan B. thuringiensis dari sampel tanah Kabupaten Muara Enim serta mengetahui toksisitasnya terhadap P. xylostella. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey dan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari 5 tingkatan konsentrasi yang terdiri atas P1 sebagai Kontrol, P2 sebagai konsentrasi spora B. Thuringiensis 103 spora per ml, P3 sebagai konsentrasi spora B. thuringiensis 104 spora per ml, P4 sebagai konsentrasi spora B. thuringiensis 105 spora per ml, P5 sebagai konsentrasi spora B. thuringiensis 106 spora per ml. Dari hasil uji skrining 15 isolat diperoleh satu isolat terbaik yaitu isolat asal tanah tanaman kakao dari desa Tanjung Baru (KATB). Data di analisis dengan menggunakan BNJ dan analisis probit untuk mengetahui LT50. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mortalitas larva tertinggi ditemukan pada perlakuan dengan kerapatan spora 2,2 x 106 spora per ml dengan LT50 4,77 hari. Secara dapat disimpulkan kerapatan spora 2,2 x 106 spora per ml menyebabkan kematian P. xylostella sebesar 70% sedangkan sisanya menjadi pupa tetapi abnormal.
