Abstract
This study aims used for repairing the studying process and to improve student learning outcomes in chemical subjects in class XI MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 2 Kayuagung with a application of Guided Discovery Learning. Research is a class act that is carried out in the three cycles, each cycle there are two meetings of planning, action, reflection and observation. Based on the result of the study, the average student learning outcomes before action (T0) is 67,77 with the thoroughness of 48,89%, in cycle 1 (T1) the average student learning outcomes at 69,09 with the thoroughness of 56,82%, cycle 2 (T2) the average student learning outcomes at 77,56 with the thoroughness of 77,78% and in the third cycle (T3) the average student learning outcomes is 85,78 with the thoroughness of 86,67%. Research shows that the application of Guided Discovery Learning can improve student learning outcomes on the subjects of chemistry showing from T3>T2>T1>T0, so it is advisable for teachers getting the same problems can use it as an alternative models of choice in improving student learning outcomes.
