Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of work motivation and leadership style on employee performance in one of the oil and gas companies in Palembang City. The data used in this research is primary data using a questionnaire as an instrument to measure research variables. Questionnaires were distributed to a sample of employees in the Production Function, totaling 144 respondents. Data collected from the questionnaire instrument was processed using the SPSS program with multiple linear regression analysis. The research results show that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance in oil and gas companies in Palembang City, as well as leadership style has a positive and significant effect on employee performance in oil and gas companies in Palembang City. The implications of the results of this research can be used as input for the management of vil and gas companies in Palembang City to improve employee performance by increasing work motivation through group work projects to work on joint projects, as well as improving leadership styles with the thank you campaign program as an appreciation progeen from superiors to employees who successful in achieving work targets or being an achiever.
