Abstract

This study aims to describe the form and meaning of illocutionary speech acts and hate speech contained in Officialinewstv Instagram social media and its implications for Indonesian language learning. This research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The data collection technique in this research is a documentation technique. The results of this study show that there are assertive illocutionary speech acts found in hate speech on the Officialinewstv Instagram account, then hate speech contained in the Officialinewstv Instagram account including 7 forms of insults, 5 forms of inciting, 3 forms of provoking, 1 form of defamation, and 1 form of spreading fake news.
