Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of mycorrhizal biofertilizer concentration on a mixed planting medium of compost fertilizer with Indralaya borehole irrigation water to enhance the vigor and viability of shallot seedlings. This study is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research was conducted using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) experimental method consisting of seven treatments and four replications. The treatments include concentrations of 0%, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, 2%, 2.5%, and 3%. Data analysis was performed descriptively. The results of the study indicate that all shallot plants in each treatment experienced mortality. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of mycorrhizal biofertilizer does not have a significant effect on enhancing the vigor and viability of shallot seedlings planted in a mixed planting medium of compost fertilizer with Indralaya borehole irrigation water. This is due to the relatively low nutrient content in the Indralaya borehole irrigation water, which is unable to meet the nutrient requirements for the proper growth of shallot plants. The applied mycorrhizal biofertilizer during planting is also unable to compensate for this deficiency. Key words: Mycorrhiza, shallots, vigor, viability
