Abstract

Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) is a framework that integrates three types of knowledge to support effective teaching using technology. This study aims to determine the biology teachers' TPACK ability profile on environmental change material in Kalidoni District Palembang City and Semende Darat Laut District Muara Enim Regency. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through questionnaires, CoRe TPaP-eRs, and interviews with 12 biology teachers in Kalidoni District Palembang City and Semende Darat Laut District Muara Enim Regency. The results showed that the TPACK ability of biology teachers in Kalidoni District was 80% are already in the Growing TPACK. This aligns with the questionnaire results which show that teachers have excellent TPACK skills with an average score above 4.20. However, 20% of biology teachers are still in the Pre TPACK category. The TPACK ability of biology teachers in Semende Darat Laut District is still in the Pre TPACK category. This is contrasts with the questionnaire results, indicating that teachers have TPACK ability skills in the good category, with an average score above 3.40. The results of using Nvivo 14 software illustrate that biology teachers can already develop important ideas/concepts from the five aspects in the assessment rubric. Biology teachers have integrated TPACK skills in environmental change material by linking local/global issues that occur and are adjusted to the learning outcomes contained in the curriculum. However, teachers in Kalidoni District and Semende Darat Laut District have not linked local wisdom to learning. Based on the results of this study, it is expected that teachers can improve their abilities related to curriculum, technology, content, and pedagogy to improve learning.
