Abstract
Internet of Things (IoT) is an innovation in the fields of education and industry, devices that adapt this technology have very diverse capabilities depending on their constituent components. There are many devices that apply this concept, for example in the agricultural sector, many tasks can be automated to make it easier and more cost-effective. This will keep production costs much lower. However, there is one problem in developing this device, namely problems with data transmission. There are many network topologies that can be applied in the data transmission process. One of the advantages is mesh topology. This topology allows nodes to send data from one node to another node without going through a long route. However, the problem that can be encountered is that when one route has a problem, an algorithm is needed that allows data to be sent via other available routes. In this research, we will discuss how to apply the channel change mechanism in a mesh topology for IoT data transmission. So it was found that by implementing a channel change mechanism, the data sent could arrive more quickly and with the mechanism in place the data could be guaranteed to be sent safely. Of course, this will make it easier for large-scale IoT devices consisting of various sensor nodes.
