Abstract

Background: Sudden cardiac arrest is one of the conditions in which the electrical function of the heart stops suddenly which is characterized by unconsciousness and loss of pulse and breathing..A sudden heart arrest should be dealt with quickly by applying BHD especially to the public. The majority of the public cannot do BHD, it is affected by the level of knowledge and ability that will affect the preparedness and attitude of the general public especially in high school/K students. Therefore, research levels of this knowledge and attitudes are necessary to see from the level and attitudinal knowledge of high school /K students in South Sumatra after basic life aid training by INASIA. Methods: This research was conducted at SMAN 10 Palembang, SMA SON Palembang and SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang in December 2023. We obtained 107 samples that meet the criteria of inclusion of following public BHD training by INASIA and exclusion.The form cannot be contacted and the charging is incomplete. Sampling is done in total sampling and will be analyzed using SPSS V.25 in the form of frequency distribution and cross tabulation. Results: 90.7% of high school students have a good level of knowledge and 907% have a positive attitude. Most of the characteristics came from the age group 18-19 Years (58.9%) and men (60.7%). There is no significant relationship between the level of knowledge and the characteristics marked by p-values of 1,000 and 1,000 respectively. Conclusion: High school students in South Sumatra have a good level of knowledge and a positive attitude as a result of public BHD training.
