Abstract
Analysis of rainfall in the Maluku and Sulawesi regions against influencing indicators (Nino 3.4 Index and Dipole Mode Index) has been successfully carried out. The method used is a quantitative approach with secondary data analysis in the form of data from Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency stations at three Meteorological Stations from the 1991-2020 period. Correlation and Regression analysis was carried out using Google Colab. The results of the analysis obtained are that the Nino Index 3.4 has an influence on rainfall in the Maluku region but has no influence in the Sulawesi region. The correlation coefficient value obtained between the Nino 3.4 Index in the month of ASON and Oesman Sadik Station is -0.769522, with Kuffar Station is -0.836707 while Mutiara Sis-Al Jufri Station is -0.112789. A negative correlation coefficient value means that the Nino 3.4 index and rainfall have an inverse relationship, meaning that if there is an increase in the temperature of the Nino 3.4 index, rainfall will decrease due to rising sea surface temperatures and when this happens there will be a drought.
