Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of using Plotagon learning media in improving students' critical thinking in Civics learning at SMAN 2 Prabumulih. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method consisting of an experimental class and a control class. The population in this study was all class X with a total of 267 students, with research samples from classes X.4 and X.5 totaling 64 students taken using simple random samplingtechniques. Data collection techniques in this study used Likert scale questionnaires, observation and documentation. Based on the results of this study, it shows that the use of Plotagon learning media has an effect on improving students' critical thinking. This was proven based on the results of hypothesis testing using the independent sample t-test with the help of SPSS 29, which obtained a significant value of 0.00 with a value (α) of 0.05. Thus the results obtained are sig. 0.00 < 0.05 then the decision taken is Ho rejected and Ha accepted. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of using Plotagon learning media in improving students' critical thinking in Civics learning at SMAN 2 Prabumulih.
