Abstract

Rubber plants (Hevea brasiliensis Muell Arg) are superior natural resources from the Euphorbiaceae group. Rubber plants can produce sap or known as latex. The disease that is a big problem because it attacks rubber plants lately is leaf fall disease. One of the pathogens suspected as the cause of rubber leaf fall disease is Pestalotiopsis sp. The use of endophytic bacteria as an effort to control rubber plant diseases is an alternative control without using chemicals that are harmful to the environment. This study used the RAK method with 15 treatments including control with 3 replicates. There were 7 bacterial formulations used. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of endophytic bacterial formulations on the severity of rubber plant diseases and the effect on the growth of rubber plants. Application of endophytic bacterial formulations is done by dripping the solution on the stem that has been wounded. The results showed that the effect of the application of endophytic bacterial formulations on the severity of rubber plant disease was not able to suppress the severity of the disease and had no effect on plant height, stem diameter and number of leaves.
