Abstract

The research objective vvas to test mixer rotation speed of oyster mushroom the uniformity of the mixing screw. This research was conducted in December 2011 to June 2012 at Kumbung Jamur Tiram Talang Buruk Palembang. The methods used in this research were observalions on the object of research, data were analyzed by tabulatioa The parameters were equipment capacity, the uniformity of material mixture, rendemen, and power requirement. The working principle stirrer oyster mushrooms growing media is that all on materials incorporated into the stirrer and stirred for 6 minutes with the test at different speeds. Inside there is a screw mixer serves to stir the material and transporting materials out through the funnel spending. The results showed that the uniformity of the mixture of materials is approaching the starting mixture at 35 rpm with a mean percentage of sawdust 81.59 %, bran rice of 11.59%, and rice com of 6.80 % with a capacity of 126.4 kg.h1 and The electrical power needed by this equipment w'as 0.24 Hp.
