Abstract
Career Development is a series of lifelong activites that contribute to the exploration, formation, success, and fulfillment of one's career. Where as Employee Performance is a record of results that are produced (produced) for certain job fuctions or activites over a certain period of time. This study aims to determine whether career development influences employee performance at the Alang-Alang Lebar District Office located in Plembang City. The population was 67 active employees with details of 46 men and 21 women using simple regression analysis. Data collection techniques using questionnaries with quantitative methods. From the result of data analysis it is known that the regression equation is Y = 14,833 + 0,510X. While the results of the T test obtained from this study shows a value of 6.657. Because t count>t table = 6.657>1.668 then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. And the results of the Determination test calculation obtained the number R2 (R Square) of 0.499 or 49.9%. This shows that the percentage of the influnce of the independent variable affects the dependent variable by 49.9% while the rest of the amount (100-49.9%=50.1%) is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
