Abstract

The rattan craft business in Kelurahan 3 Ilir, Ilir East II District, Palembang City is a community that opens a craft business as a livelihood. The objectives of this research are (1) Calculate the income of rattan craft businesses in 3 Ilir Village, Ilir Timur II District, Palembang City. (2) Analyzing the strategy for developing rattan craft businesses in 3 Ilir Village, Ilir Timur II District, Palembang City. This research was carried out in 3 Ilir Village, Ilir Timur II District, Palembang City. This location was determined deliberately (purposive sampling) with the consideration that the location was a place to carry out rattan craft business. Calculation of business actors' income by calculating the results of local production, namely small tanggok chairs, 50cm Tampa and 50cm benches. The results of this research show that the average income from the production of small tanggok chairs, 50cm Tampa and 50cm benches for rattan craft business actors in 3 Ilir Village, Ilir Timur II District, Palembang City is IDR 1,333,514 per month with a profit rate of R/C The ratio obtained is 1.24. It can be concluded that the rattan craft business in 3 Ilir Village, Ilir Timur II District, Palembang City is profitable and worth pursuing. The rattan craft business in Kelurahan 3 Ilir, Ilir Timur II District, Palembang City is in quadrant 1 of the SO strategy (aggressive strategy) with three strategy formulations, namely: (1) developing rattan craft products by involving the skills of a skilled workforce by innovating in creating new products , (2) using e-commerce to market and sell rattan craft products to reach a wide market, (3) maximizing the use of existing raw materials and consistently maintaining a high level of quality in the rattan craft production process, (4) Participate in digital entrepreneurship training held by the Communications and Information Service.
